JoharBus is an independent app built by a private developer based in Dumka, Jharkhand. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representing any government transport authority.

• Route submissions: when you submit a bus route, we collect the bus or operator name, starting point, destination, timing, and stops you provide.
• Votes and reports: when you confirm, flag, or report a route, we record that action to help verify data accuracy.
• App usage analytics: we use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (for example, which screens are opened or which searches are made), so we can improve the app. This data is aggregated and not used to personally identify you.

What we do not collect

We do not track your precise location, access your contacts, camera, or microphone, and we do not request any permissions beyond what's needed for the app's core features.

How we use your information

Information you submit is used solely to build and maintain the bus route database within the app, and to improve the app's accuracy and usefulness over time. We do not sell your information to third parties.

Third-party services

JoharBus uses Google Firebase for data storage and analytics. Firebase may process data according to Google's own privacy practices. No advertising networks are integrated into JoharBus.

Data retention and deletion

Submitted route data is retained to keep the app's database useful for the community. If you'd like a submission removed or have questions about your data, contact us using the email below.

Children's privacy

JoharBus does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is intended for general use by commuters of all ages searching for public bus information.
